HITT - What is it and how effective is it? 

HIIT Training (high intensity interval training) is basically a workout that alternates between intense bursts of activity and less-intense activity or sometimes complete rest, e.g. running as fast as you can for 1 minute and then walking for 2 minutes. Repeat that 3-minute interval five times for a 15-minute fat burning workout. Sounds easy right? Read below for 8 benefits of HIIT Training

Efficient

HIIT Training is the perfect no excuses workout. You can make it work for you. Easily squeezed into your lunch break or if you’re super busy but still want to make sure your exercising. Research has shown that you can achieve more progress in 15min HIIT sessions (interval training) 3 times weekly as oppose to running on a treadmill at the same pace for an hour.  It’s an excellent way to improve your endurance and best of all its fun!

No Equipment Necessary
HITT workouts generally only use your bodyweight for exercises. It focuses on increasing your heart rate to your max and keeping it there. Anything like high knees, jumping lunges, squat jumps all work just as well to get your heart rate up. This helps result in optimal muscle building and helps with fat loss while increasing the calories you burn.
