Hot Cross Buns

Great Easter treat


INGREDIENTS
2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1.5 Teaspoon Baking Soda
0.5 Teaspoon Himalayan Salt
0.5 Teaspoon Cinnamon
0.5 Teaspoon Nutmeg
0.25 Teaspoon Garam Marsala
0.25 Teaspoon Ginger
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 x Egg
0.25 Cups Macadamia Oil
0.5 Cups Natural Yoghurt
0.25 Cups Oat Milk
0.5 Cups Agave Syrup
1 Tablespoon Date Spread
0.5  Cups Craisins
0. 1 Cups Dried Fruit Melody

 METHOD
Preheat oven to 160 degrees fan forced.
Grease muffin tray with macadamia oil (mould of your choice, square is best for hot cross bun style).
Combine the flour, salt, spices and baking soda together in a bowl.
Using another bowl, combine the egg, vanilla extract, yoghurt, milk, agave and date spread until it forms a smooth paste.
Slowly add the wet mixture into the dry mixture and combine until smooth.
stir through the dried fruit and craisins then place in the muffin tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.

Note: Date Spread - you can make this yourself by blending dates or prunes with water until smooth.
Serving Suggestion: Use raw chocolate to make a cross on top to finish off the perfect hot cross bun.
